With different thematic approaches, the artists in this exhibition ask questions about the beauty of the human body: from the body as a shell, form or sculptural presence, to the character portrait, to disturbing yet appealing representations of illness and decay.
The exhibition is inspired by the growing showdown with the body as a unique sex object and the prevailing compliant beauty ideal.
