The Triennial of Photography Hamburg will host its first UN-CONFERENCE, under the guidance of W.M. Hunt. Interested and un-suspecting people will convene in the auditorium of the Museum für Völkerkunde Hamburg.
[OPTION] THE UNCONFERENCE is meant to be un-afraid and un-likely and intended as a forum where people can pose new questions or even old ones about photography; then the audience can consider and respond to them. If the theme for the Triennial A BREAKING POINT is, in fact, “a critical moment in the process of change”, what does that mean? [OPTION] THE UNCONFERENCE will give attendees the opportunity to react and to un-wind.
In the weeks leading up to the Triennial, there will be opportunities to weigh in on social media platforms like Instagram- (@phototriennial) or Facebook to submit a statement about photography or whatever might benefit from collective conversation.
W.M. Hunt is a champion of photography - a writer, teacher, collector, dealer, and a seeker of truths. He tries to bring some lightness to the field. He is based in New York City but seems to show up at a lot of these events.
