Nadja Bournonville, Lilly Lulay and Thomas Albdorf are the first beneficiaries of the Fellowship recommended, which was established by olympus in cooperation with the Haus der Photographie / Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam and Fotografie Forum Frankfurt in 2017.

Nadja Bournonville uses photography to deal with her family’s history, reaching far back into the last century. Why do we make decisions despite knowing that they will lead us into a hopeless situation? Selected and mentored by Ingo Taubhorn.
In Lilly Lulay’s work, photography is formed in diverse materials and techniques. Lulay examines how photography is used as an everyday tool in smartphone communication and in our living spaces. Selected and mentored by Celina Lunsford.
Thomas Albdorf deals with the question of whether or not artificially created images can still lead to increased knowledge. The starting point of his work is the fact that nowadays software and artificial intelligence can be employed to produce images without requiring an existing original. Selected and mentored by Hinde Haest.

The fellowship supports the realisation of a photographic project and includes individual coaching by a curator as well as a concluding presentation.
