Humanity is at breaking point. Seismic change now seems unavoidable. In the face of increased global challenges, from climate change to the migrant crisis, political unrest, cyber-attacks and the threat of terrorism, photography has the ability to bring focus to these issues.

The exhibition ENTER is a showcase of 15 artists whose work digs deep into social, political, and environmental narratives defining our global world. With strength and determination, they make work that unflinchingly challenges social structures and abuses of power.

By presenting these projects as part of the Triennial of Photography Hamburg, we hope to engage in a progressive intercultural dialogue. We see the festival as an access point for a wider discussion, a place where current modes of conduct are debated and challenged.

[ENTER] will introduce the 2018 Triennial of Photography Hamburg, where projects will be presented on Deichtorhallen Square within the Container Festival Centre.
